COBISS Ela is an online platform for borrowing e-books, accessible through the COBISS+ database.
To borrow books, you need to have an active library membership with no outstanding obligations or other restrictions. You can borrow a book by clicking on the Cobiss Ela icon below the search bar and then clicking “Borrow” on the selected book on COBISS+, or clicking Borrow underneath a book on the Ela portal.
You can borrow up to 5 books at a time and the book is automatically returned after 21 days. When borrowing, clicking the “Download” button will save the book to your computer or mobile device.
You will need to install the Thorium Reader application to read on a computer, and Cantook by Aldiko (iOS) or FBReader (Android) for mobile devices, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or iOS App Store. Reading on a mobile device or e-reader requires a device with Android 5.0 or higher.
