Autumn Slovene workshop

This autumn, we will get together on Tuesdays to learn Slovene. The workshops are intended for those who use Slovene as a second language and wish to improve their communication skills in Slovene in everyday situations: at the administrative offices, at work, at the bank, at the post office, in shops, at the doctor’s, as parents in kindergarten or school. Beginners and those who wish to improve their knowledge of Slovene are welcome.

At the introductory meeting we will present how and what we will be doing in Slovene classes.

If you decide to learn Slovene with us, you are kindly invited to join us regularly every Tuesday from October 7 until December 9, 2025, at 6:15 p.m. punctually. If you want to improve your knowledge of Slovene, it is essential to attend the meetings regularly.

You will be assisted in your learning by a volunteer teacher, Prof. Dr. Nataša Pirih Svetina, who has spent her entire professional life teaching Slovene to non-native speakers. She is the co-author of several textbooks and didactic materials for learning Slovene. She works at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, lives in Šiška, and is a regular visitor to the Šiška Library.
