Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens is about the mysterious and wild Kya Clark, otherwise known as the Marsh Girl by the local townspeople of Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. The novel is a coming-of-age story of a girl raised by the marshlands of the American south in the 1950s. Years pass until one day a local man, Chase Andrews, is found dead. Fingers point at Kya, who becomes the prime suspect in his murder case.
