In the novel The Sermon on the Fall of Rome (Le sermon sur la chute de Rome) by Jerrôme Ferrari, Matheo and Libero, friends form childhood, abandon the study of philosophy and start managing a bar on Corsica that is supposed to be the best in the world – an abundance of beautiful waitresses, alcohol and food. But soon the place turns into hell, where wounds begin to open.
