The French literary circle: Three strong women

The novel Three strong women (Trois femmes puissante) by the French author Marie NDiaye is made up of life stories of three women: Norah, Fante and Khady, who all have in common that they have been humiliated and abandoned by their men. However, they courageously cling on to life, and resist the abuses. The author received the Goncourt award in 2009 for the novel.
