Cat, Man, Dog

Jergović is a master of short story and depiction of delicate relationships in his native Sarajevo. In prose, full of memories of childhood and youth, the narrator awakens a child’s confidence in us. The human relationship with cats and dogs proves to be a possible answer to all complications: as if animals enriched the otherwise complex interpersonal relationships in the city.
