Cuts and Scars

After 25 years, a family reunites for a meal. The eldest son with his wife and children returns from America, at the same time the second son, a war correspondent, crosses the threshold of the parents’ apartment unannounced. Painful facts begin to arise that unite those gathered – and a picture of a family tragedy caused by the Balkan slaughter in the ninetees is put together. The theme of the story is not unusual – alike as in the novel Elijah’s chair; the author had to leave his hometown Sarajevo at just fifteen in the early nineties. (VVŠ)
