In late 1944, during the war, Aatami Korpi lives alone with his horse and his faithful Bedlington terrier, searching for gold in the Lapland wilderness. Aatami discovers a rich gold deposit and sets off for Rovaniemi with a hefty amount of treasure. On the way, Aatami encounters Nazis led by the ruthless SS officer Bruno Helldorf.
