With COBISS+ and the mCOBISS mobile app, you can easily manage your library account:

• Soon-to-be overdue materials
You can manage reminders through COBISS+, mCOBISS, or directly at the library. These reminders are not automatic.

Can’t find the item you need?
Request it from other Slovenian libraries via:
• The Ljubljana City Library website
• COBISS+
• In person at the library
Service fee: €9.00 per item
Loan Periods
21 days + 2 renewals (if eligible):
Books, movies, audiobooks, music CDs, toys, maps, sheet music
21 days – no renewal:
eBooks (COBISS Ela)
14 days – no renewal:
Audiobooks (Audibook)
7 days – no renewal:
Daily and weekly newspapers
Renewing Borrowed Material
Renewals are available:
• Online via COBISS+ or mCOBISS
• In person at the library
• By phone
Renewal not possible if:
• The item is reserved by another user
• You’ve received an overdue notice
• There are unpaid fees on your account
Reservations
Reserve materials through:
• COBISS+ or the mCOBISS app
• By phone
• At any library location
Pickup window: Within 2 days of notification
Missed pickup fee: €0.80 per item
Ordering & Returning
• You can order materials to another Ljubljana City Library branch for a fee of €1.30 per item.
• Return items to a different branch: €0.40 per item
• Free return at the original borrowing location
Overdue Fines
Late return:
If you return an item after the due date, a fee of €0.40 per item per day applies.
Overdue notifications:
• 1st notice: €1.00
• 2nd notice: €2.00
• 3rd notice: €5.00
Fees accumulate with each notice.
