Šentvid Library

Šentvid Library is located on the ground floor of a multi-storey building. The library is accessible for disabled persons and mothers with prams.

The library collection holds almost 53.000 items of fiction and non-fiction for adults and the young. Apart from books you will also be delighted by a large and diverse collection of non-book materials, which comprises over 6.000 CDs, DVDs, CDROMs and audiobooks.

In the reading room you can choose from more than 70 titles of newspapers and magazines in Slovene and foreign languages. Visitors have access to a self-service machine which allows you to borrow and return book materials on your own.

For the youngest we organize story time and other forms of library education. Enthusiastic travellers can follow in the footsteps of world travellers at monthly travel evenings.

In recent years we try to enliven the cultural atmosphere of Šentvid by encouraging local travellers, artists and other creative individuals to present themselves and their work in the library.
