Location

Location of library: Jurij Vega Library

The Jurij Vega Library has been named after the Slovenian mathematician, physicist, astronomer, surveyor, and artillery officer, baron Jurij Vega, who was born in Zagorica near Dolsko in the municipality of Dol near Ljubljana.

The library is located in the annex to the building of the Elementary School Janko Moder – Dol near Ljubljana and offers about 27 000 units of library materials. On the ground floor of the library there are the playing corner, department for film and music, place for newspapers and magazines, and a smaller reading-room where children may read, do their homework, and play chess and other games.

On the first floor the adult fiction literature and popular science books are located, as well as reading spots with computers and the possibility of printing.

We organize literary evenings, science lectures, reading club meetings, and travelogues. For the youngest fairy-tale hours with creative workshops, playing hours, shows, and literary riddles are performed regularly.
