Inferno

The problem the author tackles in his sixth crime novel is very topical, and it is treated with frightening conviction: does humanity really have only a hundred years to live, if we don’t act? Lots of action, a good deal of deduction, surprising twists and turns and set in authentic settings of churches and museums make for a gripping read; Robert Langdon is still in fine form, as is Dan Brown, although he will probably find it hard to ever top The Da Vinci Code.

Despite the devastating reviews, it can be said that the text convincingly exceeds the average range of its genre. (VVŠ)
