Lost children archive

In Lost Children Archive, the Mexican-American writer intertwines the political and the personal, the topical with the timeless, the documentary with the poetic. A travelogue of a journey from New York to Arizona, a telling content of two documentarians’ stationery boxes, a worried family that grows more distant as the journey progresses, and a reflection on some of the more poignant personal and social themes. On the outside, the novel seems like a patchwork of different literary approaches, allusions and sources, but it is united by the author’s strong focus on observation, awareness and understanding of what is happening within and around her.
