Summer house with swimming pool

A physician and a family man Marc Schlosser, whose particular relation to work and his patients opens a lot of ethical dilemmas, goes with his family on a summer vacation to the sea, but a series of coincidences leads to them setting up a tent on the garden of a summer villa belonging to a rich director, who is a patient of Schlosser. So, a very colourful group of people spend the holiday together, which is in itself complicated, and is in this masterly written psychological thriller more or less fatal for some of the participants. Summer house with swimming pool is the seventh novel of the established Dutch author Hermann Koch, who has been so far known in Slovenian only by his excellent novel The Dinner. (VVŠ)
