The English Book Club: Things we do not tell the people we love

The ten short stories by Huma Qureshi, a Pakistani writer living in London, all portray young Pakistani women who are unable to communicate sincerely with the most important people in their lives. The author excels in describing their feelings as they are torn between the traditional expectations of their parents and the norms of British society.
