Erasmus accreditation for adult education

DURATION

2022–2027

OBJECTIVES

  • Formation of new courses in sustainable development to promote environmental sustainability and responsibility.
  • Developing and upgrading (virtual) training courses, with a specifically focusing on vulnerable groups (elderly, individuals with lower literacy levels and users with special needs).
  • Support and encourage integrated and systematic training and professional development of public library staff in Slovenia.
  • Building strategic partnerships and international cooperation.

TARGET GROUP

Employees and users of the Ljubljana City Library, and indirectly employees of other Slovenian libraries and the wider professional and lay public.

DESCRIPTION

The Ljubljana City Library has been awarded Erasmus+ Adult Education Accreditation under the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 1, Learning Mobility of Individuals in Adult Education. The Erasmus accreditation confirms that the organisation has developed a plan to deliver high quality mobility activities as part of its wider organisational development efforts. Erasmus accreditation allows organisations easier access to Erasmus funding opportunities and more flexible funding for individual international exchange and cooperation activities.

The project organises working visits by our staff to libraries and training courses for our users abroad. A group of LCL users accompanied by our staff takes part in a workshop, a course or a cultural event or visits an exhibition or cultural institution abroad.
